Video on making affirmations work, with a diagram of the conscious and subconscious mind

We are now in our fourth week of the Summer Cycle. We’ve locked in our programs and are now testing out our affirmations. Some of us are familiar with them and have used them before and maybe some of us are new to the concept altogether.

Whichever you are, take a few minutes to check out this practical video on how to get the most out of your affirmation and step into a better version of yourself!

Here are some key takeaways:

  • Repetition is one way to get through to the subconscious mind
  • Subconscious → conscious
  • Once we become aware of a habit, it becomes a choice
  • Awareness gives us power to choose
  • Repeating affirmations while looking in the mirror has a powerful effect
  • Biggest missing key to affirmations for most is the lack of emotion when saying them
  • Emotion is a powerful force
  • It allows us to transcend the logical and create greater momentum
  • The subconscious mind often speaks in the language of emotion
  • Emotion comes from what we truly believe about ourselves
  • Repetition vs. incantation
  • Incantation engages body movement, tonality, and enthusiasm to produce more emotion
  • Incantations help us to be more present in the moment and make our affirmations more visceral
  • Visualization allows us to feel like what we want for ourselves is already here
  • Letting go of a specific outcome leaves room for things to happen even better than we expected
