Phalanx + Sacred Heart Circle

We are in our fourth week of the fall cycle and have just introduced our Phalanx and Sacred Heart Circle. As mentioned on our calls, the phalanx and sacred heart circle derive from the ancient Greek battle formation where each soldier covered the heart of the soldier to their left with their shield.
We use this imagery for these calls because WIT is a warrior program, first and foremost. We’re here to get things done
together. The added support of these calls has proven time and again to be highly impactful in keeping us on track.
As we approach our first phalanx/sacred heart calls, we want to reiterate the format:
One person is covering the heart of the other- The person whose heart is being covered has the floor exclusively
- The person covering the other’s heart can ask questions and mirror back what they hear with permission
- It’s best to establish beforehand how much time each person has for the call
If you have any questions about how it works, please reach out to one of our facilitators. They’ll be more than happy to help!
